Lack of clearly defined goals leads to schedule and cost overruns and liability issues. This is why our project management skills begin in the early stages with the identification of project objectives.
Clear project objectives and scope allows for proper project planning, execution, monitoring and controlling throughout all phases of development. Setting project constraints in the early stages of a project will allow for a detailed plan to be presented and followed.
Forces outside of control may occur during the projects life cycle however with proper analysis, reviews and response plans, such forces can be clearly communicated and alternative methods can be utilized to keep projects on track.
